Chakra Balancing

A Chakra is a centre of energy. Originating from Sanskrit it literally means "Wheel" There are seven chakras positioned throughout the human body, from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Each chakra has its own function, vibrational frequency and colour, each one works at a different level When your chakras are out of balance they can become too open or too closed. If one chakra is out of balance it can affect one or all of the other chakras. Balancing the chakras creates a substantial and harmonious flow of energy in your body. There are many tools and practices that help balance your chakras and work at different levels, such as colour, crystals, music, oils and Bach Flower remedies. Chakra healing can also be used for animals as well as humans.

Colour Therapy

Colour Therapy is a gentle treatment suitable for all ages. It dates back to 1550BC when Egyptians used colour to cure ailments. Ancient Chinese texts also record colour therapies. Colour therapy helps to re-balance your body's energy centres and promote healing by using the colours of the light spectrum - the rainbow - to stimulate your body's own healing process. It can help with appetite, blood pressure, stress, depression, insomnia, self confidence, and self esteem issues, fatigue, aggression, and immune deficiency problems. During colour therapy treatment, different tools may be used such as specific coloured lights, crystals,  or coloured silks being laid on the relevant acupressure points (also known as colour puncture) to treat the problem areas. Colour therapy includes colour breathing, affirmations and guidance on colour in your diet, dress and decor. Solarised water may also be given to drink during and/ or after your treatment. White or light coloured clothing, including underwear, should be worn during your session, to allow light and colour to be absorbed.
